So my hamster is currently just winding down from her first time out of her cage! We did free range for less than 10 minutes, and I transferred her from cage to floor in a mason jar. Partially because I needed to give her a quick checkup, and partially because she isn't totally comfortable with my hands yet. The entire time she was moving very swiftly, ears up, and grooming a lot. She also doesn't want to stop exploring the mason jar, as she keeps going in and out of it and jumping all over it. I'm worried she's stressed though because she is moving VERY fast, though for every 20-30 seconds she runs, she stops to groom. What do you think she's feeling? Did she enjoy her first free range?
